The Hatton Takes East Tower From The Shay Condos DC

Flip Flop Update Dec. 2014: Developers decided in late 2014 to flip The Shay back to rental. No explanation was given for the move.

What once was marketed by developers as a split but cohesive rental project at 8th Street and Florida Avenue in DC's U Street Corridor now has a split personality.

The east tower of The Shay is going condo... with it's own identity and name. The Hatton will occupy the smaller of the two buildings (east tower) that face one another on 8th Street.

The Hatton will be a mid-rise building offering a mix of 1 BR, 2 BR and Studio units for a total of 91 condominium homes.
