Northern Virginia's Silver Line Phase One Nears Completion
MWAA officials have announced that the first phase of the Silver Line rail extension will complete this month. Passenger service could begin as soon as January 2014. Testing must first be performed on the line’s safety and communication systems and work on the rail stations needs to reach completion.
Passengers will be offered four stops from Tysons to Reston's Wiehle Avenue.
Phase II will add a stop at Washington Dulles International Airport. Construction for that extension is scheduled to start in spring of 2014.
Think it will help relieve congestion on I-66 and I-495?
