Brookland DC Real Estate Is Hot
One of DC's hottest 2016 markets was the Brookland NE neighborhood, where houses under $800k flew off the market.
Monroe Street Market has given the nieghborhood a boost and it feels a lot like the Mount Pleasant of 10 years ago. Buyers are converging upon Brookland for its affordability in the single family home niche.
Since the first of the year, there have been 89 'fee simple' (row homes, detached single family and townhomes) listings in the 20017 zip code. Median Sold Price is $499k year to date. Everywhere you look, you see evidence of renodeling, rebuilding and infill development. New retail is also springing up.
